BAIBS Friday 11/01/13

Well the title of this blog is a misnomer. It implies it's linked to The Bigger All Important Breakfast Show broadcast today, Friday 11th January. Except there was no show. There should've been. I spent an afternoon locked in a studio on Tuesday putting a show together under strict instructions not to leave til I'd put together three hours of tunage and waffle. Only for said show to get lost in the ether. I tuned in a couple of times this morning and heard Kylie (early ,crap Stock, Aitken and Waterman Kylie) and some dance stuff I didn't even recognise. Never been tunage. I can only apologise and say that I'm just a tad miffed! Someone owes me three hours of my life back!

Rant over.

Couldn't do a live show today cos The Cherry Blossom was having an operation. A laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Basically she's now missing a gallbladder. (If found please return to........etc). I've no idea what a gallbladder does. Something to do with bile I think. Maybe Cherry Blossom's missing gallbladder put together the tunes played this morning. Bile's as good a word as any. (For God's sake it's gone now. Get over it Saynor)! I can only presume that a gallbladder, like an appendix, or in some peoples case their brain, is a design flaw in that it's there but apparently we can live without it. I've still got all the bits I was born with. Maybe I'm due an upgrade.

Tried on my tux for the Best Bar None Awards yesterday. I though I'd just look like a 44 year old bloke with long grey hair wearing a tux but the results were staggering. It would seem that you can polish a... subject change methinks.

So it's the weekend and I've nothing planned. No Tom Harking, Rovers away at Stevenage and although there is, as always, some tasty gigs in town (OK Social Club - The Leopard, Beast/James Taplin/Dirty White Cars - The Hallcross, Aonia - Vintage Rockbar, The Bluestones - Cask Corner) I'm on pampering duties for the foreseeable future. CB's in bed with the bike horn I got her for Christmas to hand if she need's owt. Far more amusing than a bell. Knew it'd come in handy.
