BAIBS Thursday 24/10/13

I've answered this before but for those newcomers who wondered BAIBS = Bigger All Important Breakfast Show. Though I still think BAIBS could be the name of an Eastern European dating site given the hits this blog gets over there.

So a shlog today (shlog = short, rushed blog) due to doing the day backwards again. needed a nap at some point but instead of doing this blog and anything else I needed to do first then sleep I went for the sleep first option which has now left me rushing to get sorted before work. My middle name is organised! I did manage to shop first which I thought was an achievement but naturally the two products I went in for were the two items I failed to buy. So if my hair lacks it's usual lustre and I look like I could do with a shave you know why.

I'm being hampered in this shlog by a laptop that seems to determined to kill every page I open. Seems a bit harsh to me.

Last night's overheard conversation of choice:

'See they christened Prince George today.'

'Oh ah? What did they christen him then?'

''I don't rightly know.'

Brilliant.

I forgot to mention in yesterday's blog the bishop of Doncaster who was a guest on Andrew Isaac's Doncaster Is Great show. The bish (there was some talk of how to address a bishop but I'm sticking with bish) was sporting a humongous gold cross round his neck. Now I'm pretty certain that an opening line of, 'That's some pretty serious bling,' is probably not the done thing. Still, as the genius Bill Hicks once said, 'A lot of Christians wear crosses round their necks. You think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a f***ing cross'?

As you all know I have a strict request policy on the show. If it fits in with the non-crap policy it's in so had a real dilemma today. There's a new lady in my life. Hi Tracey in Chesterfield. She requested a Fragma track I didn't know. I know little of Fragma but what I do know I'm not particular fond of. Still, I stuck to my principles and didn't play it whilst having a fraught txt conversation that it would seem was mostly a wind up. I invented the word gullible. Saying no at the start of a relationship. Brave or stupid? Admittedly Bill Wyman's Je Suis Un Rock Star made the play list today. I'm nothing if not a hypocrite.

OK, shlog over. Still no yak.
