My it's hot. Phew what a scorcher etc. I love it. Apart from the standard, 'Oh I like it hot, but not this hot.'  Sod off to Siberia. Saying that they'll be the same people who've moaning about the cold for the last few months. The hotter the better for me. I'm sat in my shorts waiting for the ice-cream man. Never missed a day in winter so come on Mr. Whippy, let's be having you.

On a similar vein I had a sit in the sun in Elmfield Park today on my way to the Keepmoat (more of that later) and feel a leaf war update is due. I did mention back in the final throes of Autumn that the leaves murmured about rising again. Well they're back with a vengeance. Green and clinging to the tress way out of the reach of the men from the DMBC. With back up from a massive blossom army victory it would seem is assured.

So I was down at the Keepmoat for the press conference for the big fight on Saturday. Jamie McDonnell vs Julio Ceja for the IBF Championship of the World. How awesome would it be to see another Champion crowned at the Keepmoat this year. Ceja's record is phenomenal, 24 fights, 24 wins, 22 by knock out but as Jamie said, 'He's not fought me yet.' The fight is being tagged 'Making History'. As promoter Dennis Hobson pointed out it's the first time a Donny lad has fought for a title in Donny. With prime time TV viewing on Saturday night Dennis predicts the fight of the year. My press pass is ready to rumble. I believe that's the phrase.
