Done things the wrong way round today. The afternoon nap came first purely due to the excesses of the weekend. Those of us of a certain age will know what I mean. Two days to recover from a night out is frankly embarrassing though.
Fantastic weekend though starting with the stunning line up at The Leopard Friday night. John McCullagh, OK Social Club, The Talks and The 48ks are all headline acts in their own right so it made for an exceptional gig. A staff birthday drink after was the start of my problems though. I'd never heard of a drink called a hand grenade and I never want to again.
Saturday saw me on a mini school reunion thing after a hectic day at work. The Green Cat was in overdrive. Managed to drag the reunion to a few MapFest stages, notably Section 60 and Bang Bang Romeo at The Social and then the beer garden at The Masons. Apologies to the acts at The Masons but I cant remember the name of any of them. And apologies to all the people caught in the crossfire of me dancing wildly to Fisherman's Blues.
It's a bit of a shlog today thanks to the excessively long nap and being at work later so I'll shall end by congratulating Habberdash on winning the Sine FM Do It Unplugged Live Sessions. They will open Doncaster Live main stage on Saturday September 7th and also along with the rest of the top 5 get to busk down at the Keepmoat Stadium at Rovers games later this season.
