BAIBS Tuesday 09/07/10

Well this is a first, alfresco blog! My first thought was to do a seriously short blog, I'm working later and wanted to at least catch some sun but then after lots of faffing with extension cables here we are blogging in the sun. Admittedly all I can see is my reflection in the screen so typing's a bit tricky, and I struggle with that at the best of times. Also seeing my reflection I get why the mate I bumped into this morning kept calling me Dude. Last time I saw him I had very short hair and no facial growth.

If you've never seen The Big Lebowski then you really should.

Ah, The Dude abides.

All I have to do now is tie my hair back and find the cold setting on the shower and my day is complete. I'm easily pleased.

The downside to this outdoor blogging is I'm more inclined to just sit in the sun instead of doing some work.

Another splendid Do It Unplugged session this morning, this time from James Taplin. I've waxed lyrical about James in previous blogs. The man is awash with talent.

I'm a bit like an Ofsted inspector. Those that want to teach but cant become Ofsted inspectors. Those that want to play/sing/write music but cant become radio presenters. There's no talent to my limits. So when I hear someone like James I'm full of admiration and jealousy. I've known James for getting on 2 years and every time we meet we always talk about him doing a radio session for me but due to the general lethargic nature of our communication skills it's only just come to fruition.

Wasps. Another downside of the outside blog.

I must say, like last year's Olympic withdrawal symptoms, I've got post Wimbledon disorder. Still, The Ashes start tomorrow with The Aussies no doubt fired up after Ian Botham's whitewash statements. Great cricketer but always been an utter twonk. He may as well have said 'We'll make them grovel.' One for the cricket historians there. And speaking of Wimbledon I was screaming and shouting for Murray all the way through. It was a fantastic achievement but our beloved leader's statement, 'I cant think of anyone more deserving of a knighthood,' is frankly embarrassing. Another twonk. A shiny faced clueless Eton twonk at that.

Neighbours blasting out LMFAO. Another downside to the outside blog.

Off to tamper with the shower.
