Ok, a fragile show today after a weekend of drinks with my bezzie, did I really just say bezzie, drums, surprise weddings, damp squibs and half showers.
So Friday night was chilling night with the Cherry Blossom and very lovely it was too. Saturday saw me at The Hallcross for my good friend Jason's engagement party. Unbeknownst to most of the party goers Jason and Dale had married earlier that day and were about to have ceremony number 2 on stage that night! It was my privilege to cordially invite people to a wedding they were already at. Outside for fireworks. Never buy cheap!!!! For a 500 firework box read 4! Still well done to Max for managing to fire a rocket straight into The Hallcross beer garden! Joyful chaos ensued and far too many ring of fire jokes.
Sunday back at the Cross briefly for Drumbeat Studio presents My good friend Dean Cousins runs Drumbeat Studios, teaching drums to students from 10 to 60. Every 6 months he puts on a showcase where the students get to play with a band, on stage, in front of a packed pub. It is a brilliant afternoon and very emotional and I couldn't be happier for students and teacher alike.
Off to the Tut to meet Ian and shout at Mark Clattenberg. 5 'just one last pints' later it's hometime and a confusing run in with a bin, a pile of leaves and a hedgehog.
And then it's Monday! Time flies etc even with the extra hour that I never did find.
Oh and the half showers? None of your business!!!!
