BAIBS Tuesday 25/06/13

So my alarm went off at 5:30 as per. Got up at 6:30. I normally like to be at the radio for half 6 to get set up, news, facebook, twitter, tunes etc so it was a bit of a mad dash this morning. You can tell if I'm running late if the first song's a long one. Today the first two songs both clocked in at 6 minutes. That's how late I was. It was all a bit swan like, calm on the surface but manic underneath. Getting up so late for the show and rushing around meant my brain didn't really have time to work out what was going on so it wasn't til after I relaxed once tune two was playing that it decided it wanted a migraine. Think it was fed up of being ignored and decided that was the best way to get attention. So if the first hour or so of the show were a bit below par those are my excuses.

It was the second Do It Unplugged session today. Kind of. I have the utmost respect for anyone who plays live. It's not easy but a modicum of knowing what you're doing is required. i.e. not turning up for an acoustic session with an electric guitar. And spare strings maybe? I won't name and shame but today's session lasted one chord. We'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a cover of Napalm Death's You Suffer.

Short blog today due to still feeling a tad under the weather and I'm working later today. Oh you'll be pleased to know that the topiary St. George slaying Barney is back outside the Minster.
